Baroque during the Enlightenment Latest blog

From March 21 through July 16, 2017, the Petit Palais presents “Baroque during the Enlightenment”, an exhibition that stages some of the most interesting 18th-century religious artworks.

Aiming at bringing the audience’s attention to the magnificent religious paintings and sketches of the churches of Paris, the exhibition features works created, between the Régence period and the French Revolution, by popular French figures like Largillière, Restout, Lemoine, Vien, David, and Van Loo.

“Baroque during the Enlightenment” is a truly interesting and fascinating exhibition that you should really see if you’re staying in Paris at our four-star hotel Monsieur Cadet Hotel & Spa

The Petit Palais art museum is not too far from our hotel.
